DACORA Prontor 500 SE ... 32 years old !

This is my dad's first camera !
He bought it when i was born to picture me and my mom at the hospital.
He used it 20 years, then this was my first camera too :)
I learn photography with it ... it all manual no auto focus, no zoom ...
Now it's broken , but i keep like a strong souvenir of my beloved dad !

This picture is an experiment, to learn studio pictures, lighting etc ... i know i'll do better one day :)

Great work
Like the retro look
The black frame give it a "photographic" look
You don't seem to have mutch trouble with
bad bad schadow's in your studio pictures

it looks almost exactly like my Smena Lomo 8M
fully manual and also about 30 years old.
i have never used it, though.
i don't even know how to load film, ha ha.

Nifty old camera!

I myself still got a Dacora 66 wich looks pretty much the same as this one.

So why did I do it? I could offer a million answers, all false.

Ah, the perennial problem of how to take a picture of your favourite camera..... with your favourite camera ;-) (Wink)

Your experiment at studio photography and lighting was a great success. The camera is caught perfectly in each of the shots, and there are no dark shadows. Love the framing you chose for it. Superb job! Congratulations.

now that's an old camera !! I think your experiment came out well Phil Nod I like the soft lighting and colours - I think it suits the shot well. The different angles was a great idea. Quite creative ;) (Wink)

Creativity is allowing yourself to make mistakes. Art is knowing which ones to keep.
